The night writer is Stacey King Gordon. Actually, she’s more than a writer – she’s a versatile communicator with 14 years of professional experience in editorial, copywriting, brand and marketing management, design, and Web project management and production. And these days, she works during business hours (with some late-night tinkering from time to time).
A long-time moonlighter, Stacey launched her full-time freelance communications business in January 2008, providing full-scale Web site redesigns, Web content, marketing copywriting and design services for companies such as McKesson, Microsoft, Remedi SeniorCare, Silicon Valley Bank and Eclipsys. Her prior experience includes seven years managing corporate branding, marketing communications and Web design initiatives. Before that, she was a reporter for trade magazines covering the jewelry industry, a job that sent her traipsing around cultured pearl farms in Japan and China and interviewing De Beers executives in London.
Stacey is the author of three non-fiction books on design, branding and jewelry. She has written extensively about a wide range of topics, including health and healthcare, art and design, packaging, finance, the retail industry, technology, law, travel, and the jewelry and luxury markets.
She holds a B.S.J. in magazine journalism from Ohio University. She is a member of the Society of Technical Communicators, the International Association of Business Communicators and Women in Consulting.
